Same Problem, New Room: Gen10 Heads to the Inaugural Energy Trading Week Middle East

12 August 2026

Commodities People's Energy Trading Week series, long-established in London and the Americas, with a Singapore edition added more recently, is expanding again. On 2–3 September, the series arrives in Dubai for the first time with Energy Trading Week Middle East.

Gen10 is going as a Gold Sponsor. Richard Williamson (Founder & CEO) and Brett Anderhub (Head of Global Business Development) will both be on the ground for the full two days, and we'd like to get some time with you while they're there.

An inaugural event with a familiar shape

Commodities People have spent years building their Commodity Trading Weeks (CTW) and Energy Trading Weeks (ETW) into fixtures on the commodity trading calendar, and now they're bringing that same model to Dubai. The event brings traders, consultants and technology providers together in the same room in one of the major energy trading hubs. Making for faster, easier access to the right conversations, and local insight.

Which is a decent segue, because creating better flows of valuable data is the conversation Richard is moderating.

Two sessions, one underlying thread

Breaking down silos: Building a unified data culture for smarter trading decisions

Wednesday 2 September, 16:45–17:30

Richard is moderating this panel on what "unified" actually requires in practice: how do you filter the noise out of data overload so the patterns are actually visible? How do you dismantle the organisational lines that keep risk, ops and trading looking at different versions of the truth? And structurally, what does it take to get those three functions working from the same data on a synchronised workflow?

Digitising the energy supply chain: From data to decisions

Thursday 3 September, 10:30–11:10

The same problem shows up again, this time applied to physical commodity flows. Expect the session to cover: AI applied to cargo movement and inventory prediction; AI-driven documentation and compliance workflows that remove the need to re-key the same shipment details into four systems; and connecting trading, operations and logistics platforms so nobody's making decisions on stale information.

Why this matters to us specifically

We'd want to be at this event even if we weren't sponsoring it, because "unified data culture" sums up the idea we've built a company around. CommOS's whole premise is real-time, accurate data, delivered where it's needed and in a format people can actually use. And our AI interface NaNi works because of the structured data CommOS provides easy access to.
